Kia Soul: Battery Removal

Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative
(-) cable (A).

2. |
Disconnect the positive (+) terminals (B) from the battery.
|
3. |
Remove the air cleaner. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air
Cleaner")
|
4. |
Remove the battery insulation pad.
|
5. |
Remove the battery mounting bracket (C) by loosening the mounting
bolt and then remove the battery (D).
|
6. |
Remove the ECM. (Refer to Engine Control/Fuel System - “Engine
Control Module (ECM)”)

7. |
Remove the battery tray (B) after removing the bolts (A).
